A single head lobe pump is a type of positive displacement pump that transports fluid by creating volume changes within the pump chamber through the rotation of a rotor. Its core component is a rotor (such as a single screw, gear, or cam structure) that forms a sealed chamber with the pump casing. As the rotor turns, it enables the suction and discharge of liquids.
This pump is suitable for medium to high-viscosity fluids (such as lubricating oil, asphalt, and adhesives), slurries containing particles (with wear-resistant design), and corrosive liquids (requiring corrosion-resistant materials like stainless steel or fluoroplastics). However, it is not recommended for low-viscosity fluids (such as water) or volatile media.
