Induction sealing technology involves bonding thermoplastic materials through the process of induction heating. This method entails controlled heating of an electrically conducting object, typically aluminum foil, via electromagnetic induction, generating heat within the object through eddy currents.
Widely utilized across various manufacturing sectors, induction sealing finds applications in packaging, including fabricating packages such as forming tubes from flexible materials and attaching plastic closures to package forms. One of the primary applications of induction sealing is cap sealing, a non-contact approach to heat an inner seal for hermetically sealing the tops of plastic and glass containers. This sealing process occurs post-filling and capping of the container.
The induction aluminum foil sealing machine caters to PP, PE, PET, PS, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, and glass bottles. It employs electromagnetic principles to generate instantaneous high heat, melting aluminum foil that adheres to the bottle openings. This achieves the objectives of moisture-proofing, leak-proofing, mildew-proofing, and extending preservation duration.

The induction sealing procedure commences with the introduction of a pre-filled cap-container assembly to the aluminum foil induction bottle sealing machine. Prior to capping, the lid is equipped with an aluminum foil heat induction liner.
As the cap-container combination moves along a conveyor, it passes beneath the seaming head emitting an oscillating electromagnetic field. During this passage, the aluminum foil heat induction liner undergoes heating due to eddy currents. The wax layer, constituting the second layer of the induction liner, melts and merges with the topmost layer, the pulp paperboard layer.
Upon complete melting of the wax layer, the third layer (the aluminum foil layer) separates from the lid. Simultaneously, the polymer layer, forming the final liner layer, heats and melds onto the lip of the plastic container. Following the cooling of the polymer, a hermetic seal is formed between the polymer and the container, ensuring product integrity.
The sealing process maintains the quality of the product within the container. However, there is a risk of foil overheating, potentially leading to damage to the seal layer and resulting in faulty seals.
