A pressure overflow filler is a specific category of overflow filling machine designed to employ pressure for precise and uniform liquid product filling into containers. Particularly suitable for low to medium-viscosity liquids, such as those found in the beverage, distilled spirits, and cleaning industries, these machines ensure consistent visual fill levels in containers for a uniform appearance on shelves. It's important to note that while this filling principle guarantees a consistent visual fill level, it doesn't measure the actual volume of liquid being dispensed.


The pressure overflow filler operates by filling containers to a predetermined level, utilizing an overflow nozzle equipped with two tubes—one for filling and the other for the return process. As the overflow nozzle descends, the bottleneck activates, opening the nozzle, and the fill tube dispenses liquid into the container for a specified duration and pressure set on the machine.


Upon reaching the return tube, instead of continuing to fill the container, the liquid overflows through the return tube into a designated tank, ensuring consistent fill levels. When all containers reach this point, indicating they are uniformly filled, the machine halts the pump, raises the nozzles, and releases the containers, ready for the next batch. Subsequently, the containers can be sealed using an inline capping machine and labeled with labeling machines, preparing them for packaging and distribution.


Centrifugal pumps and diaphragm pumps are commonly employed with automatic inline pressure overflow fillers for handling thin products. For higher-viscosity products, positive displacement pumps are preferred due to their enhanced handling capabilities.
